Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9th September, 2026

Welcome to The Door Shop. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at doorshop.com and your purchase of any product or service from us. By browsing the site, requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our website or buy from us.

1. About Us

The Door Shop supplies doors, frames, ironmongery and related products in Kenya, and offers measurement, delivery and installation services. Our yard and showroom are at Southern Bypass, Rungiri, opposite Alliance High School. We trade in accordance with the laws of Kenya.

2. Who Can Buy From Us

By ordering from us you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and that the information you give us is accurate and complete. Where you order on behalf of a company, contractor or client, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Products

  • Everything shown on our website is subject to availability. Stock moves quickly and a listing does not guarantee that an item is in the yard at the moment you order.
  • We may change, improve or discontinue any product without notice.
  • Product images and descriptions are provided as a guide. Timber is a natural material, so grain, colour and figure differ from one door to the next, and screens render colour differently. Minor variation between what you see online and what is delivered is normal and is not a defect.
  • Stated dimensions are nominal. Where exact sizes matter, book a site measurement with us before ordering.

4. Quotations

Written quotations are valid for 7 days from the date issued, unless we state otherwise. After that, prices may need to be reconfirmed. A quotation is not a reservation of stock.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are in Kenya Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • Prices may change at any time before an order is confirmed.
  • Delivery and installation are charged separately and are confirmed to you before you pay.
  • We accept M-PESA, bank transfer and the card payment methods shown at checkout.
  • Made-to-measure and special-order items require a deposit of 50% before production begins, with the balance due before dispatch.
  • We reserve the right to cancel an order where a price has been listed in error, where payment fails, or where we suspect fraud. In every such case, any money you have paid is refunded in full.

6. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we have received your payment or agreed deposit and sent you an order confirmation. We may decline an order at our discretion, including where the item is out of stock, where we cannot deliver to your location, or where the order details are incomplete.

7. Site Measurement and Installation

  • Where we carry out a site measurement, our measurements are used to produce your doors, and we take responsibility for their accuracy.
  • Where you supply the measurements, you are responsible for their accuracy. Doors produced to incorrect measurements you have provided cannot be returned.
  • Installation, where booked, is carried out by our team or by fitters appointed by us. Openings must be ready, square and accessible on the agreed date. Where a site is not ready, an additional visit may be charged.
  • We are not responsible for the work of fitters you engage independently, or for damage caused during such installation.

8. Delivery

Delivery is governed by our Shipping and Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for delays caused by transporters or by events beyond our reasonable control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.

9. Returns, Refunds and Cancellation

Returns, refunds, exchanges and cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Made-to-measure and custom-finish items cannot be cancelled once production has begun, and cannot be returned unless faulty or supplied incorrectly.

10. Warranty

Our doors are covered against manufacturing defects for 7 days from delivery. The warranty does not extend to damage caused by poor installation, by fitting an internal door in an external opening, by water or weather exposure, by neglected maintenance, or by ordinary wear. Full details are in our Return and Refund Policy.

11. Accounts

Where you create an account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for loss arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — text, photographs, product descriptions, drawings, logos and layout — belongs to Doorshop Ltd, or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use it commercially without our written permission.

13. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our website to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, upload malicious code, interfere with the site’s security or operation, scrape our content, or misrepresent your identity.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, The Door Shop is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of contracts, or project delay costs. Our total liability in connection with any order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Doorshop Ltd,, its directors, employees and appointed contractors against any claim, loss or expense arising from your misuse of our website or services, or from your breach of these Terms.

16. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

17. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

18. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where it is caused by something outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, impassable roads, fire, strikes, civil unrest, supply shortages, transporter failures or government action.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint directly. Where that is not possible, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Continued use of our website after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
